Isaac's conception and birth was supernatural and impossible in
fleshly terms. Jesus's conception and birth was impossible in the
natural.
Abraham laid the wood for the sacrifice on Isaac's back and he carried
it up the mountain.
This represents Jesus carrying his cross on his back to the place of the
crucifiction.
When Isaac's father placed the wood on Isaac's back- This is a picture
of God giving his only begotten son.
When Isaac asked where is the sacrifice? Abraham answered, God will
provide (himself) a sacrifice.
A ram was stuck in a bush, this is very unusual for a ram to get stuck
in the wild, it's a supernatural provision.
Rebekah represents the church. Isaac went out into the field to meditate
when Rebekah came and they met. This speaks of Jesus coming to the world
and us (The Bride of Christ) going to meet him.
